Proper setup, understanding compatibility, and consistent care are essential for the longevity and optimal performance of your Hisense washing machine.
Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including the crucial transit bolts located at the rear of the machine. Failing to remove these bolts before operation will cause severe damage.
- Positioning: Place the washing machine on a firm, level, and stable floor. Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom to ensure the machine is perfectly balanced. Use a spirit level to verify.
- Water Connection: Connect the cold water inlet hose securely to your household cold water tap. Ensure the hose is not kinked or twisted, which can restrict water flow.
- Drainage: Guide the drain hose into a standpipe or secure it over the edge of a sink or laundry tub. Ensure it is properly hooked to prevent siphoning and is at the recommended height (refer to your user manual for exact specifications).
- Power Connection: Plug the machine into a properly grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapters.
- First Use: Before washing any clothes, run an empty Drum Clean cycle or a short wash program with a small amount of detergent. This will clean out any manufacturing residues from the drum.

- Power Supply: Compatible with standard household electrical power outlets (check local voltage requirements).
- Water Supply: Requires a standard cold water inlet connection.
- Drainage: Compatible with standard household plumbing for drainage.
- Space Requirements: The machine's dimensions are 850 mm (Height) x 600 mm (Width) x 540 mm (Depth, excluding knobs and door). Ensure you have adequate space, allowing extra room for hose connections and proper ventilation around the unit.
Care & Maintenance
Regular care will keep your washing machine performing efficiently and extend its lifespan.
- Drum Clean Cycle: Routinely run the dedicated Drum Clean cycle (recommended monthly) to remove detergent residue, lint, and prevent the buildup of mold and unpleasant odors within the drum.
- Detergent Drawer: Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer and clean it regularly to remove any accumulated detergent or fabric softener residue, which can block nozzles.
- Door Seal: After each wash, wipe the rubber door seal and the inside of the door glass dry. This prevents mold growth and extends the life of the seal.
- Pump Filter: Periodically (e.g., every few months) locate and clean the pump filter, usually found at the bottom front of the machine. This removes lint, coins, or other small objects that can block the drain.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
