Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the external wall surface around the cable entry point is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose material.
- Apply a suitable, weather-resistant outdoor bonding adhesive to the back of the plate or directly to the wall surface around the cable hole, following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Carefully position the plate over the cable entry point, ensuring cables pass through the designated exit.
- Press firmly to secure the plate against the wall and allow the adhesive to cure fully according to its specifications before exposing it to weather.
Compatibility:
This plate is compatible with various cable types, including:
- Coaxial leads (satellite, aerial, CCTV)
- Ethernet networking cables
- Fibre optic cables
- Power cables for external devices
- Other low-voltage wiring
It is designed for use on brick, masonry, and similar external wall surfaces.
Care:
The plate requires minimal care. Periodically check that the adhesive seal remains intact and free from damage. Clean with a damp cloth if necessary; avoid harsh chemicals.
