This product is designed for adults. While it has an adjustable velcro closure, it may be too large for younger children.
The jabot is designed to sit comfortably against the neck, but skin sensitivity can vary; wearing a thin collared shirt underneath is recommended.
Ironing is not recommended as it may damage the synthetic lace fibers. If needed, use a steamer on the lowest setting.
It is ideal for 18th-century aristocrats, Victorian-era characters, gothic looks, vampire costumes, and masquerade balls.
The lace has a traditional open-work pattern consistent with the style of the era, so it is naturally semi-transparent.
Ensure no fabric fibers are caught in the velcro hooks and press firmly to engage the closure.
Lightly steam the lace ruffles from a distance, or hang the item in a humid environment (like a bathroom after a shower) to allow the fabric to relax.
To use the jabot, simply wrap the band around your neck and align the velcro strips until it feels secure but comfortable. It is compatible with most standard collared shirts or formal coats. Due to the delicate nature of the ruffled lace, it is recommended to spot clean the item with a damp cloth if necessary. Do not machine wash, as the lace ruffles may become tangled or lose their shape. Store the jabot laying flat or hanging to ensure the lace does not crease excessively before your next event.
