Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Insert SIM Card: Open the device's back cover (Info needed: How to open and the exact SIM card size). Insert a standard data-enabled SIM card into the designated slot. Ensure it is correctly seated.
- Charge Device: Connect the provided Micro-USB cable to the M7010 and a power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, computer USB port) to charge the internal battery. It is recommended to fully charge before first use.
- Power On: Press and hold the power button, usually located on the side or front, until the LED indicators light up.
- Connect Devices: On your Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the M7010's network name (SSID), which is typically printed on a sticker inside the battery compartment or on the packaging. Enter the default Wi-Fi password (also found on the same sticker).
- Internet Access: Once connected, your device should have internet access via the M7010.
Compatibility
The M7010 is compatible with any Wi-Fi enabled device that supports 802.11b, 802.11g, or Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) standards. This includes virtually all modern smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other Wi-Fi devices. It requires a data-enabled SIM card from a compatible cellular provider (3G/4G/LTE) to function as a hotspot. The Micro-USB port is exclusively for power and charging.
