Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the engine is cool before beginning.
- Remove the old spark plug using an appropriate spark plug socket.
- Crucially, check and adjust the spark plug gap to the manufacturer's specifications for your specific vehicle or equipment. Use a gap tool for accuracy.
- Thread the new NGK BR7ES spark plug into the cylinder head by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Tighten the spark plug with a torque wrench to the specified torque setting.
- Reconnect the spark plug wire or ignition coil.
Compatibility:
The NGK BR7ES is an aftermarket replacement part. Always verify compatibility with your vehicle's or equipment's owner's manual or service guide. Consult the NGK catalog or a qualified mechanic if unsure.
Care:
Spark plugs are maintenance items and are not typically 'cared for' in terms of cleaning. They are replaced when they show signs of wear or fouling. Ensure the connection point for the spark plug wire or coil remains clean and free of debris.
