FAQs

Is the 8904H shield taller than stock?

No, this sport model is 50 mm shorter than the original equipment windshield.

What is the tint level of the light smoke?

The light smoke provides a semi-transparent aesthetic that is dark enough for styling but still allows for some visibility through the screen.

Does it come with new mounting hardware?

Generally, Puig screens are designed to reuse your existing OEM hardware.

Is this screen effective for highway riding?

Yes, it is wind tunnel tested to provide better aerodynamics and stability than a stock setup at high speeds.

Can I use a pressure washer to clean it?

It is not recommended; high-pressure water can damage the surface or force debris into the mounting gaps.

Troubleshooting

Windshield vibrates at high speeds

Check all mounting screws and ensure the rubber grommets are properly seated in the fairing holes.

Minor scratches on the surface

Use a dedicated plastic polish formulated for acrylic windshields to gently buff out light surface marks.

Difficult to align during install

Loosen all mounting bolts slightly to allow the shield to find its natural position before tightening in a cross-pattern.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the Puig Sport Windshield (8904H) is designed to be straightforward, typically utilizing the original mounting points of your motorcycle. Always ensure that the screen is aligned correctly before tightening any fasteners to prevent stress cracks.

Compatibility

This model is intended for specific motorcycles; verify your bike's make and model year against the MPN 8904H before purchase.

Care Instructions

  • Cleaning: Only use water, mild soap, and a soft microfiber cloth to avoid scratching the light smoke finish.
