Full details
The MAM Breast Caps are designed for breastfeeding mothers needing temporary support, offering a familiar, soft, and natural sensation for the baby. They provide a protective barrier for sore nipples and allow for continued skin-to-skin contact. A key benefit is the SkinSoftTM silicone, which aids baby acceptance. However, they are intended as a temporary aid and not a long-term solution for breastfeeding challenges.

What material are the MAM Breast Caps made of?
The breast caps are made of MAM's SkinSoftTM silicone, known for its soft texture and natural feel.
Are these breast caps suitable for long-term use?
No, MAM Breast Caps are intended as a temporary aid for breastfeeding and are not designed for long-term use.
How often should I sterilize the breast caps?
It is recommended to sterilize the breast caps before first use and after each cleaning to maintain hygiene.
What is the difference between Size M and other sizes?
Size M has a diameter of 20 mm. Different sizes are available to accommodate various nipple dimensions for optimal fit and function.
Can I use regular soap to clean them?
Yes, use mild soap and warm water for cleaning. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners that could damage the silicone.
How does the butterfly shape help?
The specific butterfly shape is designed to allow the baby to feel the mother's skin and smell, which can be soothing and promote bonding during breastfeeding.
What if my baby doesn't like them at first?
Babies may need time to adjust. Try offering them when your baby is calm or during non-feeding times to help them get accustomed to the new sensation.
Troubleshooting
Baby is refusing the breast cap.
Ensure the cap is correctly positioned and clean. Try introducing it gradually, perhaps during a non-hunger moment, to help the baby get accustomed to the feel and smell.
Breast cap feels uncomfortable or leaks.
Check that the size is correct and the cap is seated properly on the nipple, creating a good seal without being too tight. Ensure the correct side is facing outward.
Sterilization box not functioning correctly.
Verify the water amount (25ml) and microwave wattage. Ensure the box is correctly assembled before microwaving. Refer to the product manual for detailed instructions.
Breast cap has a slight odor.
Wash thoroughly with mild soap and water and ensure it is completely dry before storing. Proper sterilization should also minimize odors.
