Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure maximum lifespan for your waders, follow these setup and maintenance guidelines:
- Fitting: Adjust the shoulder straps before entering the water. The waders should sit comfortably without pulling, and the waist belt should be tightened to prevent excess slack.
- Storage: Always hang your waders by the boots in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Never store them folded or crushed for long periods.
- Cleaning: Rinse the exterior with fresh water after every use, especially after saltwater exposure. If the interior gets damp, turn them inside out to air dry completely to prevent odors and mold.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the seams and reinforced areas. If mud or grit accumulates on the membrane, use a soft-bristled brush and mild soap to clean; avoid harsh detergents or fabric softeners.
