The Castelli Espresso Shoecover is designed for dedicated cyclists who ride in cool to cold conditions, offering a high-performance solution to keep feet warm and protected. Utilizing advanced GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER fabric, it excels at blocking wind and repelling light road spray while maintaining breathability; however, it is not a fully waterproof bootie and may experience saturation during heavy or prolonged rain.

No, they are water-resistant and windproof. They provide excellent protection against road spray and light rain but will eventually soak through in heavy rain.
They are optimized for use between 0 and 14 degrees Celsius.
While they are durable, they are designed for cycling. Excessive walking will cause premature wear on the sole material and fabric.
Sizes correspond to standard cycling shoe sizing; if you are between sizes or use a bulky winter shoe, consider sizing up.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the elasticity of the neoprene and the integrity of the GORE-TEX membrane.
Ensure the shoe cover is positioned correctly over the heel and that the internal flap is not caught in the zipper teeth.
This is expected as the sole must remain open for the cleat; use waterproof cycling socks underneath if riding in very wet conditions.
To ensure the longevity of your shoe covers, it is recommended to pull the covers onto your shoes before putting on the shoes themselves. Slide the cover up your ankle, put on your cycling shoe, and then pull the cover down over the heel and toe of the shoe. Align the cleat opening carefully to prevent wear on the fabric during walking. For cleaning, hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap and hang to dry away from direct heat sources. Do not use bleach or iron the fabric, as this can degrade the GORE-TEX membrane.
