FAQs
What is the maximum weight capacity of the shelf?
The product information does not specify a maximum weight capacity. It is recommended to distribute weight evenly and avoid overloading the shelf. Ensure it is securely mounted to wall studs or appropriate anchors for maximum support.
Can this shelf be used in a bathroom?
While the shelf itself is durable, prolonged exposure to high humidity and moisture in bathrooms is not ideal for the high gloss finish. It is best suited for drier environments.
What tools are needed for installation?
Typically, you will need a drill, a level, a screwdriver, and potentially a stud finder. Wall anchors suitable for your wall type may also be required.
How do I clean the high gloss finish?
Use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemicals that could scratch or damage the surface.
What are the exact dimensions of the shelf?
The shelf measures H:3.8 x W:110 x D:23.8 cm.
Does the shelf come with mounting hardware?
The product description mentions detailed instructions are provided for assembly, implying hardware is included, but specific details on hardware inclusion should be confirmed with the retailer.
Can I cut the shelf to a smaller size?
Cutting the shelf is not recommended, as it may compromise its structural integrity and finish, and would void any warranty.
Troubleshooting
Shelf is not level
Loosen mounting screws slightly, adjust the shelf until level using a spirit level, and then re-tighten screws securely. Ensure wall anchors are properly seated.
Shelf feels unstable after mounting
Check that all mounting screws are fully tightened. Verify that the shelf is mounted into wall studs or that appropriate, heavy-duty wall anchors have been used for your wall type. Do not exceed the recommended weight limit.
High gloss finish appears dull or scratched
Clean gently with a soft, damp microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or cleaning agents. For minor scuffs, try a specialized plastic polish designed for high-gloss surfaces, testing in an inconspicuous area first.
