The set features a smooth, glazed finish which gives it a slight sheen and makes it easier to clean.
Are the bowls suitable for soup?

Can I buy individual replacement pieces?
Replacement availability depends on current inventory; it is recommended to contact the retailer directly to inquire about spare components.
Troubleshooting
Surface marks or grey streaks appear after dishwasher use.
These are often metal transfer marks from cutlery. Use a specialized ceramic cleaner or a mild baking soda paste to gently buff them away.
The dish becomes extremely hot in the microwave.
Ensure you are using the correct power setting; ceramic can retain significant heat. Use oven mitts when removing items that have been heated for extended periods.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Waterside dinnerware, follow these guidelines:
- Unboxing: Carefully inspect each piece for hairline fractures that may have occurred during shipping before initial use.
- Cleaning: While the set is dishwasher safe, consider using a gentle cycle and avoiding abrasive cleaning agents to preserve the smooth glazed finish over time.
- Microwave Use: Always ensure the piece is not cold from the refrigerator before placing it directly into a hot microwave to avoid thermal shock, which can cause cracking.
- Storage: When stacking plates, place a soft cloth or felt divider between them if you find the glaze is susceptible to minor surface scratching from repeated friction.
