Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your Dr. Martens 1460 Glitter Boots, the main setup involves lacing them up to your desired tightness. While the inner zip allows for easy entry, adjusting the laces ensures a secure and comfortable fit initially. You may need to adjust the laces periodically as the boots conform to the wearer's foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for junior sizes. Please refer to Dr. Martens' official junior size chart to ensure compatibility with the wearer's foot size. The boots feature a standard fit for most junior foot shapes.
Care
Proper care will help maintain the unique glitter finish and the longevity of the boots:
- Cleaning the Uppers (Glitter & Patent Leather): Gently wipe the black patent and silver nebula glitter finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or stiff brushes, as these can damage the glitter and patent leather surface. Regular, gentle cleaning will help remove surface dirt and maintain their shine.
- Sole Care: The durable PVC sole can be cleaned with a damp cloth to remove mud or dirt.
- Drying: If the boots get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can dry out and damage the leather and glitter finish.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
