Setup
- Connect: Connect the G-RAID SHUTTLE 4 to your computer using the included Thunderbolt 3 cable.
- Power On: Plug in the power adapter and turn on the device.
- Initialization: The device will be recognized by your computer. You may need to format the drive.
- Format: Follow the on-screen prompts to format the drive. Consider the RAID configuration based on your needs (RAID 5 is the default and recommended for most users).
Compatibility
The G-RAID SHUTTLE 4 is compatible with:
- Mac OS X 10.15 and later
- Windows 10 and 11
Care
- Operating Temperature: Operate the drive within the recommended temperature range (5 - 35°C).
- Placement: Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block the vents.
- Physical Protection: Handle the device with care during transport to avoid physical damage.
- Data Backup: Always back up your data to another location. RAID provides redundancy, but it is not a substitute for a comprehensive backup strategy. Use a dedicated backup system and follow the 3-2-1 rule (3 copies of data, 2 different media, 1 offsite).
