Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack all components and identify the tent, poles, and guy lines.
- Lay out the tent on a flat, clear surface. Identify the colour-coded poles and match them to the corresponding pole sleeves on the flysheet.
- Insert the poles into their sleeves and bend them to insert the ends into the tent's grommets.
- Secure the flysheet over the pole structure. Use the colour-coded tabs or loops to attach the flysheet to the poles.
- Peg down the tent, starting with the corners, and then attach and tension the guy lines.
Compatibility:
This tent is designed as a standalone shelter and is not compatible with connecting additional tent modules or extensions.
Care:
- Cleaning: After use, allow the tent to dry completely before storing to prevent mildew. Brush off loose dirt and debris. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft brush or cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the tent loosely rolled or folded in its original bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sharp objects.
- Pole Care: Inspect fibreglass poles for any signs of damage or fraying. If a pole section is damaged, it may need to be replaced. Avoid bending poles excessively, especially in cold weather.
- Waterproofing: Periodically check the flysheet's waterproofing. If the hydrostatic head seems to be diminishing, consider applying a re-waterproofing spray designed for tents.
