Troubleshooting
Rod sections are difficult to join or separate.
Ensure the ferrules are clean and free of dirt or debris. A slight twist when joining can help. If stuck, avoid excessive force; try a gentle, steady pull with a slight rotation. A ferrule-loc or a damp cloth can sometimes aid grip.
Line snags on the tip ring during casting.
Ensure the anti-frap tip ring is correctly aligned and that your leader knot is smooth and not excessively bulky. Check for any damage to the tip ring insert or frame.
Reel seat feels loose.
Gently tighten the reel seat collars. If the issue persists, inspect the reel seat's internal mechanism for damage. Ensure the reel foot is correctly seated.
Reduced casting distance or accuracy.
Check for any tangles or knots in your line. Ensure your casting technique is smooth. Verify that the line is not catching on the line clip or guides. Clean the guides if they appear dirty.
