Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation:
- Surface Cleaning: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose paint. Wash down with a suitable cleaner if necessary and allow to dry completely.
- Priming: For best results, especially on new plaster or previously dark-colored walls, apply a suitable primer. A primer will ensure better adhesion and color consistency.
- Surface Repair: Fill any cracks or holes with filler and sand smooth once dry.
Application:
- Stir Thoroughly: Before use, stir the paint thoroughly to ensure an even consistency.
- First Coat: Apply a thin, even coat using a brush or roller. Work in one direction for a uniform finish.
- Drying Time: Allow the first coat to dry completely according to the manufacturer's instructions (typically 2-4 hours).
- Second Coat: Apply a second coat, again ensuring even coverage. A third coat may be necessary for very dark or vibrant colors, or if painting over a significantly contrasting shade.
Compatibility:
This emulsion paint is generally suitable for interior walls and ceilings. It is compatible with most standard plaster, drywall, and previously painted surfaces. Always test on an inconspicuous area first if unsure.
Care:
- Cleaning: For minor marks and scuffs, gently wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing, which can damage the paint finish.
- Maintenance: Touch-up any minor damage with leftover paint, applying thin, even coats.
