Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Revlon Wave Master is straightforward:
- Unpack: Carefully remove the waver from its packaging.
- Inspect: Check for any visible damage or defects.
- Plug In: Insert the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Unlock (if applicable): If the locking ring is engaged, release it to open the barrels. The `ON` indicator light will illuminate upon plugging in.
- Select Heat: Choose your desired heat setting using the dial.
- Wait: Allow the waver a few moments to heat up before use.
Compatibility
The Revlon Wave Master is compatible with a wide range of hair types, thanks to its 30 adjustable heat settings. It performs exceptionally well on:
- Medium to Long Hair: The jumbo barrels are ideal for creating deep waves on longer hair lengths.
- Fine to Thick Hair: The variable heat settings allow users to select the optimal temperature to style fine, delicate hair without excessive heat, or thicker, more resilient hair that requires higher temperatures to hold a style.
- Colored/Treated Hair: The tourmaline ceramic coating helps protect treated hair, but always use a lower heat setting and heat protectant.
*Note: It may be less effective or challenging to use on very short hair due to the size of the barrels.*
Care
Proper care ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your waver:
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the waver immediately after use and allow it to cool completely on a heat-resistant surface before storing.
- Clean Barrels: Use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the tourmaline ceramic barrels and exterior of the waver. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Avoid Water: Never immerse the waver in water or any other liquid.
- Store Safely: Engage the locking ring to keep the barrels closed. Store the waver in a dry, cool place, away from children. Do not wrap the cord tightly around the waver, as this can damage the cord.
- Cord Maintenance: Regularly check the cord for any signs of damage. If the cord is damaged, discontinue use immediately and seek professional repair.
