The NTK Lambda Sensor OZA823-EE2 is an essential precision component for automotive technicians and DIY mechanics seeking to maintain or restore optimal engine performance and emissions control. By accurately monitoring the air-fuel ratio, this sensor helps achieve peak catalytic converter efficiency, leading to improved fuel economy and reduced tailpipe emissions. While it is engineered for high-performance compatibility, users should note that improper installation or handling can compromise its sensitivity and lifespan, making professional-grade care during fitting highly recommended.

While there is no fixed interval, sensors are typically inspected for performance degradation after 60,000 to 100,000 miles.
It is generally not recommended to clean lambda sensors, as the chemicals used can damage the sensitive ceramic material inside.
The OZA823-EE2 is designed for standard automotive fuel systems; consult your vehicle's manual for fuel-specific compatibility.
No, the sensor is calibrated at the factory and will begin providing data to the ECU as soon as the system is reset.
Oils from your skin can contaminate the sensor tip and cause inaccurate readings; always handle by the body of the sensor.
Clear the stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from the engine computer using an OBD-II scanner after the new sensor is installed.
Verify that the electrical connector is fully seated and that the wiring harness is free of heat damage or frayed connections.
Before installation, ensure the vehicle engine is cool to prevent burns. The sensor should be installed using the correct thread size and torque specifications to ensure a proper seal in the exhaust manifold. Avoid using generic sealants or greases on the sensor tip, as these can contaminate the ceramic element. Compatibility should be verified by checking your vehicle's specific engine code against the OZA823-EE2 specifications. During handling, never drop the sensor, as the internal ceramic component is fragile and prone to cracking, which will lead to immediate failure upon operation.
