Setup, Compatibility & Care
To assemble these hooks, ensure you have a length of high-quality 10mm shock cord, compatible ring clamps, and a pair of professional-grade crimping pliers. Start by threading the shock cord through the designated eyelet on the hook. Once the cord is positioned, slide a ring clamp over the cord tail to cinch it tightly against the hook's base. Use your pliers to compress the ring clamp firmly, ensuring no slack remains. For maintenance, periodically inspect the nylon hooks for signs of stress fractures or fatigue, especially after extreme cold or heat exposure. If the snap clip tension becomes loose, inspect the pivot point for debris and clean with compressed air if necessary.
