FAQs

Can I take this battery on a commercial airplane?

Most airlines limit lithium-ion batteries to 100Wh for carry-on; since this is 146Wh, you must seek airline approval and comply with specific dangerous goods policies for batteries over 100Wh.

What kind of charger should I use?

Use a professional-grade V-mount battery charger that is compatible with 14.4V nominal lithium-ion packs.

How long does a full charge take?

Charging time depends on the output of your charger, but typically ranges from 3 to 6 hours for a battery of this capacity.

Is the PB-S146S compatible with gold-mount systems?

No, this is a dedicated V-mount battery and requires an adapter or a V-mount plate to work with other systems.

How do I know how much power is left?

The battery features an integrated LED power indicator that shows remaining capacity at the press of a button.

Troubleshooting

Battery will not lock onto the V-mount plate

Inspect the V-mount plate on the camera for physical damage or stuck locking pins. Clean the mounting surface to ensure a flush connection.

Camera shuts down unexpectedly during use

Verify that the total power draw does not exceed the battery's discharge rating and ensure the contacts are clean of any residue.

Battery fails to charge in the cradle

Ensure the charger supports high-capacity V-mount batteries and check the charging pins for alignment or oxidation.
