Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Smeg SI2641DUK hob is designed for built-in installation. A key advantage is its power plug, which means it can be connected directly to a standard power outlet (13-amp fuse).
Compatibility
This induction hob requires cookware with a magnetic base. You can test your cookware with a magnet; if the magnet sticks to the bottom, it is induction compatible. The hob is compatible with most standard kitchen setups due to its 60 cm width.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and steel wool, which can scratch the glass-ceramic surface.
- Spills: Clean spills immediately to prevent them from burning onto the surface.
- Cookware: Use flat-bottomed cookware for optimal heat transfer.
- Power Management: Be aware of the power management feature if you have a 13 amp connection. The heat levels across all four zones cannot add up to more than 12.
