Full details

The Catherine Lansfield Christmas Nutcracker Dining Table Runner is designed for homeowners looking to elevate their holiday dining experience with a touch of charm and tradition. Its standout benefit is the combination of detailed embroidery and durable, table-protecting natural cotton, though users should be mindful that the specific 33x220cm dimensions may not fit extra-large banquet tables perfectly. This decorative piece serves as a sophisticated focal point for seasonal gatherings, offering both aesthetic appeal and practical surface protection.

FAQs

What are the exact dimensions of the runner?

The runner measures 33cm in width by 220cm in length.

Is it safe to wash this in a washing machine?

Yes, it is machine washable, making it easy to clean after holiday meals.

What material is the table runner made from?

It is made from natural cotton fibers for a soft and durable finish.

Will this protect my table from heat?

It provides a barrier against scratches and minor spills, but always use heat-resistant mats under extremely hot pots or pans.

Can I use this on a glass table?

Absolutely; the natural cotton provides a soft layer that prevents scratches from dinnerware on glass surfaces.

Is the design embroidered or printed?

The nutcracker characters are beautifully embroidered, giving the runner a textured, premium, and handcrafted appearance.

Troubleshooting

Stubborn stains after dinner

Pre-treat the affected area with a mild stain remover before placing it in the machine wash.

Visible wrinkles or creases

Use a steam iron on the reverse side of the runner to smooth out creases without damaging the embroidery thread.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-quality embroidered details
  • Protects table surfaces from damage
  • Easy to clean via machine washing
  • Versatile design fits classic and modern styles
  • Soft, high-quality cotton construction

Cons

  • Fixed length may not suit very long dining tables
  • Requires proper folding or storage to prevent heavy creasing
  • Specific aesthetic may limit use to the Christmas season

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the runner, simply lay it flat along the center axis of your table. If the runner appears creased from storage, a light press with a cool iron can restore its smooth appearance before placing it on the table.

Care Instructions:

  • Cleaning: Machine wash on a gentle cycle with like colors to maintain the vibrancy of the plum fabric.
  • Drying: Air drying or tumble drying on a low heat setting is recommended to prevent excessive shrinking or damage to the embroidery.
  • Storage: Fold neatly or roll the runner to preserve the embroidery details when not in use for the season.
