DJI Osmo Action 6 Macro Lens

The DJI Osmo Action 6 Macro Lens allows you to focus manually from a minimum distance of 11 cm (approximately 4.3 inches) up to a maximum distance of 75 cm (approximately 29.5 inches).

Focus Peaking, when used with the Mimo app, highlights the edges of the in-focus areas in your frame with a colored overlay. This makes it much easier to see exactly what is sharp and where your focus plane lies, which is crucial for detailed macro photography.

While possible, this lens is optimized for close-up shooting within its specific focus range (11-75 cm). For general wide-angle or distant shots, it's recommended to remove the macro lens and use the Osmo Action 6's native lens.

The Osmo Action 6 camera itself is waterproof, but the macro lens attachment is not designed to be submerged. Care should be taken to avoid excessive moisture or submersion when the lens is attached.

Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the lens surface. For stubborn smudges, a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for camera lenses can be used sparingly on the cloth, followed by gentle wiping.

A shallow depth of field means that only a narrow plane of the image is in sharp focus, while the foreground and background are blurred. For macro photography, this helps to isolate the subject, making it stand out visually and creating a more aesthetically pleasing image.

Ensure the lens is securely attached. Manually adjust the focus ring to find the correct focus point within the 11-75 cm range. Use Focus Peaking in the Mimo app to verify sharpness.

Verify that the Osmo Action 6 is connected to the DJI Mimo app and that Focus Peaking is enabled in the app's settings.

Check for any debris on the camera lens threads or the lens attachment. Ensure you are aligning the threads correctly before screwing it on.

Remove and reattach the lens, ensuring it is securely fastened. Restart the Osmo Action 6 camera.
