The Fender 7250-5M Super Bass 5-String set is designed for bassists who demand a versatile, high-output sound that maintains a comfortable playing feel. These roundwound strings are ideal for players in rock, funk, and high-energy genres who need their instrument to cut through dense stage or studio mixes, though players seeking a darker, flat-wound vintage tone may find them too bright for their specific style.

Yes, the roundwound construction and nickel-plated finish provide the necessary brightness and snap for percussive slap playing.
The gauges are .045, .065, .085, .105, and .125.
Most modern 5-string basses come with nuts pre-slotted for .125 or larger; however, if you feel resistance, have a technician check the nut slot width.
These strings are designed for long-scale basses. Using them on a short-scale bass may result in the thick part of the string wrapping around the tuning post, which can cause breakage or poor tuning stability.
This depends on usage, but for professional consistency, many players change them every 30 to 60 days of regular playing.
Ensure the string is seated properly in the nut slot and bridge saddle; verify that the winding is not twisted during the winding process.
Adjust the truss rod slightly for neck relief or raise the bridge saddle height to accommodate the string vibration arc.
Check that the string is properly grounded at the bridge and verify that the nut slot is wide enough to prevent pinching the string core.
Before installing, ensure your instrument is a standard long-scale 5-string bass to accommodate the .125 low-B string. When replacing strings, it is recommended to change them one at a time to maintain neck tension. After installation, check your bass's intonation at the 12th fret, as the change in gauge or tension may require a minor bridge saddle adjustment. To extend the life of your 7250-5M strings, wipe them down with a lint-free cloth after every practice session to remove skin oils and perspiration. Keeping the strings clean prevents corrosion and preserves their characteristic 'new string' brightness for a longer period.
