Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Gather Tools: Ensure you have appropriate wall anchors, screws, a level, and a drill. The correct mounting hardware will depend on your wall type (drywall, plaster, brick, etc.) and the shelf's intended load.
- Locate Studs (Recommended): For maximum stability, locate wall studs and mark their positions.
- Mark Placement: Hold the shelf or its mounting bracket against the wall at your desired height. Use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the screw hole positions.
- Install Anchors/Brackets: Drill pilot holes and install wall anchors if not mounting directly into studs. Securely attach the mounting bracket to the wall.
- Attach Shelf: Slide the shelf onto the bracket or secure it according to the manufacturer's specific instructions (some may require screwing from the underside).
Compatibility:
This shelf is designed for standard wall mounting. Ensure your chosen mounting method is appropriate for the weight capacity of the shelf and the items you intend to display. It is compatible with most standard interior walls.
Care:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- For cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, which can damage the wood.
- Avoid placing the shelf in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this can cause the wood to fade or warp over time.
- Periodically check that mounting screws remain tight.
