Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best performance, begin by aligning the hinge so the pivot point extends slightly past the edge of the door, allowing for a full 180-degree range of motion if needed. Use high-quality, corrosion-resistant wood screws that match the countersunk holes.
Compatibility: These hinges are best suited for softwoods and medium-weight timbers. They are not recommended for metal-to-metal mounting without specialized drilling.
Care: To prevent squeaking and prolong the life of the hinge, apply a light, silicone-based lubricant to the pivot pin every six months. If the hinges are installed in a coastal or highly humid environment, check the surface periodically for signs of oxidation and clean them with a soft, dry cloth.
