It is recommended to hand wash this caddy to preserve the finish and the printed design.
It is generally advised to only use this for vegetable and fruit waste to prevent strong odors and pests, depending on your composting method.
No, liners are not included, but the caddy is compatible with standard small-sized compostable bags.
The lid is designed for easy access, so it does not provide an airtight seal.
The caddy is designed for a 2L capacity, making it compact enough for most standard countertops.
Ensure the caddy is washed thoroughly with hot soapy water after every use and consider lining the base with a small layer of newspaper to absorb excess liquid.
Empty the bin more frequently and ensure the lid is properly seated after every addition.
No assembly is required for the Argyle Compost Caddy; it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. To ensure longevity, place the caddy on a flat, stable surface away from direct heat sources like toasters or ovens, which could affect the material over time. To clean, rinse the interior with warm soapy water after each full empty. Avoid using abrasive scouring pads on the exterior, as these may fade or scratch the printed argyle design. For stubborn residues, a soft sponge and mild dish detergent are sufficient.
