Care Instructions for Dyed Items
Following the dyeing process, proper care ensures color longevity:
- Initial Rinse: After dyeing and stirring, rinse the fabric thoroughly in cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess dye.
- Wash: Wash the newly dyed fabric in warm water using a mild detergent. This helps to further set the color and remove any remaining loose dye.
- Drying: Dry the fabric away from direct heat and sunlight to prevent uneven fading. Air drying is often best.
- Future Washing: For subsequent washes, wash separately or with similar colors for the first few washes to prevent any potential color transfer. Use a color-safe detergent.
