No, this is a capping board and requires a 25mm timber backing board for support, especially in new-build scenarios.
The board has an external dimension of 200mm, which is designed to cover 190mm of existing timber fascia.
Use 2 x 50mm Polytop nails at maximum 400mm intervals along the length of the board.
You will require approximately 26 nails for every 5m length of board.
UPVC is generally resistant to salt spray, but ensure all fasteners used are high-quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel or equivalent Polytop nails.
Clean periodically with mild soapy water. Do not use solvent-based cleaners or abrasive pads which could damage the woodgrain texture.
Ensure fixings are applied at intervals no greater than 400mm and verify the presence of a structural timber backing board.
Use color-matched Polytop nails specifically designed for woodgrain finishes to ensure the fasteners blend with the board surface.
