Walking poles help to reduce stress on your joints (knees, hips, ankles), improve balance and stability, and can aid propulsion, making hiking easier and safer, especially on challenging terrain.

Stand with your elbow at a 90-degree angle. Adjust the pole length so that your forearm is parallel to the ground when holding the grip. For ascents, you might shorten them slightly; for descents, you might lengthen them.

The Trekking Basket 2.0 provides good stability on most trails, preventing the pole from sinking too deeply into softer ground. The Flex Tip offers excellent grip on rock, scree, and hard surfaces.

While robust, these poles are primarily designed for trekking. Leki offers specific ski or snow touring poles with larger baskets suitable for deeper snow. While usable in light snow, they are not optimized for deep snow conditions.

The aluminium HTS 6.5 shaft is designed for durability and strength. While no specific weight limit is published, they are engineered to withstand the stresses of regular trekking and hiking.

Wipe the mechanism with a damp cloth. Ensure it is dry and free of grit before locking. Periodically check that the levers provide secure clamping force.

The poles collapse to a pack size of 64cm, making them convenient to attach to a backpack for travel or when not in use.

Ensure the Speed Lock Plus levers are fully closed and clamped tightly. Check for any debris obstructing the locking mechanism and clean if necessary. If slippage persists, the lever tension may need adjustment according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Ensure you are using the correct size PAS strap and it is adjusted snugly but not too tightly. Try adjusting your hand position on the grip. If discomfort persists, consider using thinner or thicker liner gloves.

Check that the telescopic sections are clean and free of dirt or grit. Mildly lubricate the lower sections with a silicone-based spray if needed, and wipe away excess. Ensure the Speed Lock Plus levers are fully open when attempting to adjust.

The Trekking Basket 2.0 should screw onto the tip. If it is loose, ensure it is fully tightened. Replacement baskets can be purchased and screwed onto the pole tip.
