Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Ensure your hard surface is level and clean. Gather necessary tools: drill, appropriate bolts/fixings, wrench or socket set, and a level.
- Positioning: Place the post shoe in the desired location and mark the bolt hole positions on the surface.
- Drilling: Drill holes at the marked locations, ensuring they are the correct size for your bolts.
- Attachment: Insert bolts through the post shoe base and into the pre-drilled holes. Tighten securely.
- Post Insertion: Slide the post into the shoe and tighten the nuts until snug. Use a level to ensure the post is plumb.
Compatibility: The Powapost Bolt Down Post Shoe is compatible with various post sizes (100x100mm) and can be used on both concrete and wooden bases.
Care: Regularly inspect the shoes for any signs of corrosion, especially in coastal areas. Tighten bolts as needed. Clean with a mild detergent and water if necessary. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the galvanised coating.
