Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Prepare Your Roof: Place the anti-slip pad (if provided) on your car's roof where the bag will sit. This protects your paint and prevents the bag from shifting.
- Position the Bag: Place the empty rooftop bag centrally on the anti-slip pad on your vehicle's roof.
- Load Your Luggage: Distribute your items evenly inside the bag. Do not overload. Close the zipper and ensure the waterproof flap is fully covering the zipper.
- Attach Straps (No Roof Rack): Open your car's doors. Route the 6 door hook straps through your car's door frames. Secure the hooks around the metal door frame. Close the doors, ensuring the straps lie flat and are not caught in the rubber seals. Attach the remaining 10 reinforcement straps to the roof bag's buckles and route them through the car's interior or around the roof rails (if present), connecting them to secure points.
- Attach Straps (With Roof Rack): If you have roof racks, route the 10 reinforcement straps around the roof rack bars and securely buckle them to the bag. The 6 door hooks may not be necessary, but can be used for extra security if desired.
- Tighten All Straps: Systematically tighten all 10 (or more) reinforcement straps, working from front to back and side to side, ensuring the bag is taut and secure against the roof. Double-check all connections before driving.
- Set Combination Lock: Use the 4-digit combination lock on the zippers for added security. (Refer to the lock's specific instructions for setting your personal combination).
Compatibility
This rooftop luggage bag is designed for universal compatibility and can be securely attached to a wide variety of cars, SUVs, and vans, with or without existing roof racks.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: After use, wipe down the exterior of the PVC bag with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before folding and storing.
- Storage: Ensure the bag is completely dry to prevent mold or mildew. Fold it neatly and store it in the included storage bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the PVC material, zippers, straps, and buckles for any signs of wear or damage. Address any issues promptly to maintain the bag's performance and waterproof integrity.
