This device has a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 28 dB.
Yes, the soft foam ear tips are designed to be removable and replaceable.
Yes, the low-profile banded design is compatible with most standard personal protective equipment including hard hats.
While it provides 28 dB of protection, it is primarily rated and intended for industrial or occupational noise exposure.
Store in a clean, cool, and dry environment to maintain the integrity of the foam tips and the tension of the band.
The band allows the protector to hang conveniently around your neck when not in use, making it less likely to be misplaced.
Ensure the foam tips are clean and try re-inserting them with a slight twisting motion to seat them deeper in the ear canal.
Inspect the foam tips for degradation or hardening; replace with new tips to restore the proper acoustic seal.
Setup is straightforward: ensure the ear tips are clean before use and that the band is positioned under the chin. The device is designed to be compatible with other standard personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hard hats or safety glasses, due to its low-profile banded design. To maintain the device, regularly inspect the foam tips for signs of wear, damage, or buildup. Replace the foam tips when they lose their pliability or no longer form a tight seal. Wipe the band with a clean, damp cloth to remove dust or debris, and store the unit in a clean, cool, and dry location away from direct sunlight.
