TIMCO Slate Hooks are designed for professional roofers and DIY enthusiasts who need a reliable, high-performance method for securing slate tiles to timber battens. These hooks serve as a superior alternative to traditional copper clout nails, providing a durable and stable hold for small repairs and individual tile replacements. While they are exceptionally effective in coastal and exposed environments due to their marine-grade material, users should ensure they are comfortable with a non-traditional mechanical installation method rather than standard nailing techniques.

Yes, they are manufactured from A4 (316) stainless steel, which offers high corrosion resistance suitable for coastal and exposed areas.
No, these hooks are specifically designed for use with timber battens.
No, they are point-driven and can be installed using standard manual roofing hand tools.
The Grey (RAL 7021) coating helps the visible portion of the hook blend in with the slate color for a tidy, professional finish.
Each box contains 500 pieces.
Ensure the batten is not excessively dry or hardened by age; consider a small pilot tap if the timber is exceptionally dense.
Check that the hook point is fully seated in the timber batten and that there is no debris preventing the shank from resting flat.
These hooks are designed for installation into timber battens. To install, position the replacement slate against the batten and drive the hook point firmly into the wood until the hook provides a flush, secure fit against the bottom edge of the slate. Ensure the slate is correctly aligned with the surrounding tiles before final tightening. No special maintenance is required post-installation, as the A4 stainless steel and protective grey coating are designed to endure years of outdoor exposure without degradation. Store the remaining hooks in a dry environment to prevent any potential scuffing or premature wear of the grey coating.
