These snips are designed to cut mild steel up to 2mm thick.
These snips are optimized for mild steel. Cutting hard metals may dull the blades quickly or cause damage. For harder materials, specialized cutting tools are recommended.
The set includes left, straight, and right cutting snips. Use the straight cut snips for straight lines. Use the left cut snips to cut curves to the left (counter-clockwise) and the right cut snips to cut curves to the right (clockwise).
It's recommended to lubricate the pivot point and cutting edges periodically, especially after cleaning or if the snips feel stiff. A light machine oil is suitable.
These snips are not designed for individual blade replacement. If the cutting edges become excessively dull or damaged, the entire snip may need to be replaced.
The auto-release mechanism, powered by a spring, automatically opens the snips after each cut. This allows for faster cutting and makes single-handed operation much more efficient.
