Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Connect one RJ45 plug to your network device (e.g., router, switch, computer) and the other RJ45 plug to its corresponding network port. Ensure the connectors click securely into place.
Compatibility: This Cat6a cable is compatible with all standard networking equipment that uses RJ45 connectors. It is backward compatible with Cat6, Cat5e, and Cat5 standards, though performance will be limited by the lowest standard in the chain. For optimal 10 Gbps performance, ensure all connected devices and network infrastructure (switches, routers) also support Cat6a and 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
Care: To maintain optimal performance, avoid kinking the cable sharply. Keep connectors clean by wiping gently with a dry, lint-free cloth if necessary. Store the cable loosely coiled when not in use. The snagless connectors protect the locking tab, but care should still be taken when unplugging to avoid undue force.
