The Gitzo GT1542 Mountaineer Series 1, 4-Section Carbon Tripod is an excellent choice for travel, combining stability with portability and a compact folded down size along with 18kg payload. It can hold up to 18kg in weight and offers a maximum height of 159cm (with centre column extended), a minimum height of 15 cm for low angle shooting, and is able to close down to an extremely portable size of 54cm. This is a 4 leg section tripod with new design and Carbon eXact tubes, making it lighter in weight yet more rigid than the previous model. There is no head included with this tripod. It also features an angle selector and G-lock ultra for quick, ergonomic operation and allows you to quickly remove or reverse the column for ground level shooting.
