Setup, Compatibility & Care
Breaking In Your Loafers
New Dr. Martens leather can be stiff. It is recommended to wear your loafers for short periods initially to gradually break them in. This allows the leather to mold to your foot shape for optimal comfort.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your Adrian Tassel Loafers:
- Clean Dirt: Use a damp cloth to gently wipe away any dirt or debris from the leather surface.
- Allow to Dry: After cleaning, let the loafers air dry completely at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.
- Restore Shine: Apply a correctly colored wax-based shoe polish specifically designed for smooth leather. Rub it in gently with a soft cloth to restore the leather's shine and help protect it.
- Polish Application: For best results, apply polish in small, circular motions and then buff off with a clean cloth or brush.
Material Compatibility
- Upper: 100% Leather. This classic Dr. Martens polished smooth leather is known for its durability.
- Lining: Unlined. This contributes to the traditional loafer feel.
- Sole: 100% PVC. This material provides the signature air-cushioning and resistance properties.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the leather and sole materials. Store your loafers in a cool, dry place, ideally with shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
