Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Locate Wall Studs: For secure mounting, always aim to attach the shelf brackets to wall studs. Use a stud finder.
- Mark Mounting Points: Hold the mounting hardware (typically provided separately or recommended by the manufacturer) against the wall at the desired height and mark the screw hole locations, ensuring they are level.
- Install Brackets: Securely screw the mounting brackets into the wall studs or use appropriate wall anchors for your wall type (drywall, plaster, etc.).
- Attach Shelf: Slide the floating shelf onto the installed brackets. Depending on the bracket system, you may need to secure the shelf from underneath with small screws.
Compatibility:
This shelf is designed for mounting on most standard interior walls. Ensure your wall structure can support the weight of the shelf plus its intended contents. Always use appropriate mounting hardware for your specific wall type.
Care:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- For cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture.
- Protect from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent wood damage or warping.
- Periodically check mounting hardware for tightness.
