Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
As your TV does not come with a stand, wall mounting is the primary setup method. A compatible wall mount is included to facilitate this. Follow the instructions provided with the wall mount for secure installation. Ensure you have the necessary tools and consider professional help if you are unsure.
- Mounting: Secure the included wall mount to a suitable wall stud or anchor point. Attach the TV to the wall mount as per the mount's instructions.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the TV and a wall outlet.
- Input Connections: Connect your external devices (e.g., Blu-ray player, gaming console) to the HDMI ports on the TV.
- Initial Power On: Turn on the TV using a standard remote (not included, smart remote is missing) or the power button on the TV itself. Follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup, including connecting to Wi-Fi for smart features.
Compatibility
Your Samsung QLED TV, powered by Tizen, is highly compatible with a wide range of streaming services and devices:
- Streaming Apps: Pre-installed and downloadable apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and other catch-up TV services. Requires an active internet connection.
- External Devices: Connects via HDMI to gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, soundbars, and set-top boxes.
- Wireless Connectivity: Supports Wi-Fi for internet access and potentially Bluetooth for compatible accessories (check online manual for specific Bluetooth support).
Care & Maintenance
Proper care ensures longevity and optimal performance:
- Screen Cleaning: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with distilled water (do not spray directly onto the screen).
- Addressing the Screen Scratch: While a very small scratch is present, avoid abrasive cleaners or vigorous rubbing, which could worsen it. In most viewing conditions, it may be unnoticeable, but be mindful of direct light sources that might highlight it.
- General Cleaning: Dust the TV's frame and vents regularly to prevent dust buildup.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate airflow around the TV, especially if wall-mounted, to prevent overheating. Do not block the ventilation openings.
