The DeWalt 18V XR Caulking Gun (Bare Unit) is designed for professionals and DIY enthusiasts tackling sealing and bonding tasks. Its key benefit is offering best-in-class control for precise bead application, ensuring clean finishes on various materials like silicone or latex caulk. A primary caveat is that this is a bare unit, requiring a separate battery and charger for operation.

No, this is a bare unit and does not include a battery or charger. They must be purchased separately.
It comes with a 300-600ml tube holder. Interchangeable cartridge holders for other sizes are available separately.
You can control the material flow using the variable speed dial and the variable speed trigger. Squeeze the trigger more gently for less material and more firmly for a faster flow.
The auto-retract feature pulls the plunger rod back slightly after you release the trigger, and the anti-drip function prevents excess caulk from squeezing out, keeping your work area clean.
The tool weighs 2.2 kg without a battery.
It is designed for standard caulks like silicone and latex. For very viscous adhesives, ensure they are compatible and that the tool's 295 kg pressing pressure is sufficient.
Wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Ensure the plunger rod area is free of debris. Do not immerse the tool in water.
Ensure the battery is charged and properly inserted. Check that the caulk cartridge is fully loaded and the nozzle tip has been cut. Verify the plunger rod is correctly engaged with the cartridge.
Adjust the variable speed dial and trigger for finer control. Ensure the caulk cartridge is not empty or partially blocked. Clean any dried material from the nozzle.
Ensure the plunger rod is clean and free from obstructions. Check that the auto-retract function is engaging correctly after each trigger release.
Check the battery connection. If the issue persists, the LED may require servicing.
