When you take a hot shower, chlorine in the untreated water can cause dry skin, dry hair or exaggerate pre-existing skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. The Finerfilters Slimline shower filter reduces levels of chlorine, heavy metals, and helps to reduce scale and bacterial build up. It features Carbon & KDF filter media. KDF removes up to 10x more chlorine than carbon alone and is still effective in hot water. KDF is very effective at removing heavy metals and is bacteriostatic, meaning bacteria won't grow on the media. Minimum pressure requirement is 1BAR / 15PSI. This cartridge contains 8 stages: Stainless steel mesh to block large suspended solids, PP cotton to filter rust & sediment, Activated carbon to adsorb free chlorine, KDF 55 to remove heavy metals, Calcium sulfite to efficiently remove chlorine at higher temperatures, Activated carbon to adsorb free chlorine, Ceramic balls to remineralise & ionise the water, and a final PP cotton layer to filter remaining particles without removing minerals. Length (including threads) is 175mm, length (excluding threads) is 145mm. Width (widest point) is 52mm.
