Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but comfortably. Experiment with different lacing patterns to find the optimal fit that locks your foot in place without creating pressure points.
- Initial Fit: The Flyknit and Atomknit materials are designed for a snug fit. While they will conform to your foot over time, an initial break-in period during light training sessions may enhance comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed as Firm Ground (FG) football boots. They are intended for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and relatively dry. Using them on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces is not recommended and may lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear, or potential injury.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, wipe down your boots with a damp cloth to remove dirt and mud. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used carefully on the studs and soleplate.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures. Consider using a boot bag for protection during transport.
- Gripknit Care: The Gripknit material is durable and weather-resistant, but regular cleaning helps maintain its tactile properties. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
