Dulux Trade Walls and Ceilings Paint - White - 5L

This paint is specifically designed for interior walls and ceilings. For wood or metal surfaces, a different type of primer and paint would be required.

If stored correctly in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, unopened paint can last for several years. Once opened, it's best to use it within 1-2 years for optimal performance.

Coverage can vary depending on the surface porosity and application method, but typically this paint provides around 10-12 square meters per litre per coat.

While suitable for general interior walls, for high-moisture areas like bathrooms or kitchens, a dedicated kitchen and bathroom paint with enhanced mould and mildew resistance might be a better choice.

Drying times can be significantly longer in cold or damp conditions. It is best to decorate in a well-ventilated room with temperatures above 10°C.

It is not recommended to mix different brands or types of paint, as this can affect the finish, durability, and performance. While mixing the same paint in different batches can be done to ensure colour consistency, always test first.

It means the paint uses water as its primary solvent. This makes it easier to clean up with water and generally leads to lower odour and VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) levels compared to oil-based paints.

Ensure the surface is properly prepared and primed if necessary. Apply a second coat, allowing adequate drying time between coats. Check if the surface is too porous; a primer might be needed.

Apply paint evenly with consistent pressure. Maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Use a high-quality roller or brush suitable for emulsion paints.

This can occur due to uneven application or insufficient coats. Apply an additional thin, even coat once the previous coat is fully dry. Ensure the paint is well stirred.

Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use with warm, soapy water. Dried paint on tools will be much harder to remove.
