Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These nails are ready for immediate use. They can be driven by hand with a hammer or, for efficiency and consistency, with a suitable pneumatic or electric nail gun designed for oval head nails. Ensure your tool is set to drive the nail just below the surface for a concealed finish.
Compatibility: Suitable for use with most common hardwoods and softwoods found in interior construction and woodworking. Ensure the nail length (40mm) is appropriate for the thickness of the materials being joined to avoid protrusion or insufficient grip.
Care: As these are bright (unplated) nails, they require specific care to prevent corrosion.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from any sources of moisture.
- Avoid exposure to humidity or damp conditions during and after application.
- For a long-lasting finish, consider filling the nail holes with wood filler or putty after application, especially if the project will be painted or varnished.
