The Q-Connect Compatible Drum Unit is designed for high-volume office environments that require a cost-effective, reliable alternative to original manufacturer hardware for Brother laser printers. It provides consistent print quality for text documents and graphics, boasting an impressive 50,000-page duty cycle that significantly reduces the frequency of replacements; however, users should note that as a third-party compatible product, it may occasionally require slightly different calibration settings compared to OEM units.

This is a drum unit. In many Brother printers, the drum and toner are separate components. You will need to attach your existing toner cartridge to this unit.
Using a compatible drum unit should not void your printer warranty, though you should verify your specific regional printer warranty terms.
The printer will typically display a message on the LCD panel or your computer will alert you when the drum reaches the end of its life cycle.
No, this specific model (DR3400) is intended for use in monochrome (black and white) Brother laser printers.
Most drum units can be recycled. Check your local electronic waste recycling programs to dispose of the old unit properly.
You must manually reset the drum counter through the printer's menu or the specific reset button sequence for your machine.
Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by sliding the green tab back and forth several times.
Ensure the toner cartridge is fully seated into the drum unit and check if the toner level is low.
To install, power off the printer, open the front cover, and remove the existing drum and toner assembly. Carefully separate the old drum from the toner cartridge and snap the new Q-Connect unit into place.
