Setup, Compatibility & Care
To maximize the life of your Daiwa Sensor Clear Line, ensure your reel's line roller is clean and free of debris, as nicks or grit can compromise monofilament. When winding the line onto your reel, keep the spool submerged in a bowl of warm water; this helps the line settle without twisting, which is a common issue with high-capacity monofilaments.
Due to the 20lb breaking strain, this line is best paired with rods rated for medium-to-heavy casting weights. Always test your knots before casting, especially when connecting the line to a shock leader or terminal tackle. To care for the line during the off-season, store your spools in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight to prevent UV degradation.
