These jars are designed for standard preserving and pantry storage, but always follow your specific canning recipe's equipment requirements regarding pressure limits.
Yes, they can be reused multiple times, but you should inspect them for cracks or loss of elasticity before each use.
The clips are made of durable metal; it is best to dry them immediately after washing to maintain their finish.
It is generally advised not to freeze glass jars containing liquids, as the expansion of contents can cause the glass to crack.
They are dishwasher safe, but hand washing with warm soapy water is also an effective way to preserve the clarity of the glass.
Check if the rubber seal is properly seated or if the hinge tension needs adjustment; replace the rubber seal if it appears stretched or brittle.
Ensure the jar is not overfilled, as pressure from the contents can prevent the lid from seating correctly.
Remove the rubber seal and use a small brush or toothpick to dislodge debris, then run the empty jar through a dishwasher cycle.
Before using the jars for canning or preserving, ensure they are sterilized according to standard food safety guidelines. To assemble, place the rubber seal onto the glass lid, ensure the lid is centered on the jar body, and engage the metal clip firmly. For cleaning, the jars are dishwasher safe; however, it is recommended to remove the rubber seals periodically to scrub any residue trapped in the crevices of the clip mechanism. Avoid using abrasive sponges on the glass to maintain clarity and prevent micro-scratches. If the jars are being used for hot-fill preservation, always allow them to cool to room temperature gradually to avoid thermal shock.
