Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
These screws require a pilot hole, especially in hardwoods, to prevent wood splitting and ensure easy insertion. The pilot hole diameter should be slightly smaller than the screw's core diameter (approximately 2.5-3mm for a 4mm screw). A Tx (Torx) compatible driver bit is necessary for engaging with the screw head to prevent stripping and ensure maximum torque transfer.
Compatibility:
These screws are designed for use with wood. They are compatible with most common wood types, including pine, oak, and plywood. The Tx drive system is widely available in power drills and screwdrivers.
Care:
Store screws in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the zinc plating and prevent corrosion. Keep the container sealed to avoid dust and debris contamination. Wipe away any sawdust or debris from the screw head after insertion to preserve the aesthetic finish.
