Sink Waste Kit - Accessotech

The main pipe connection size for the Accessotech Sink Waste Kit is 40mm, which is a standard size for kitchen sink waste pipes.

Basic plumbing tools are usually sufficient, such as a pipe wrench or adjustable pliers for tightening connections, a bucket for catching water, and possibly a hacksaw if pipe sections need minor trimming (though the telescopic feature minimizes this).

Yes, this kit is designed for a 'bowl and a half' or double bowl sink setup, connecting the waste from both bowls to a single outlet pipe.

The telescopic adjustment allows you to vary the length of the waste pipe section, making it easier to connect the sink trap to the existing waste pipe in the wall or floor, accommodating different distances.

The kit has a dedicated spigot or port for connecting your dishwasher's outlet hose. Ensure the hose is securely fitted to this port.

Yes, the white plastic construction is suitable for typical hot and cold domestic wastewater temperatures found in kitchens.

Check the sink strainer basket for obstructions. Clean out the U-bend trap by unscrewing the large nuts (ensure a bucket is underneath). Verify that the dishwasher connection port is sealed if not in use, or that the dishwasher hose is not blocked.

Ensure the nuts on the telescopic joint are tightened sufficiently. Check that the seals or washers within the joint are present, clean, and correctly seated. If leakage persists, consider using a suitable plumbing jointing compound or PTFE tape on the threaded sections before reassembly.

Ensure the dishwasher hose is fully inserted into the spigot and secured with a jubilee clip if provided or necessary. Check the spigot for cracks or damage.

The U-bend trap may have insufficient water to form a seal, or it may be blocked. Flush the trap with hot water and a mild cleaning agent. Ensure the trap is correctly installed and holding water.
